“Moscow. 20 century. People” and “Unknown treasures” / 11 December

January 28, 2010,  Moscow City Museum in its Architectural complex “Proviantskie magazini”  inaugurates two new exhibition projects: 
 
“Moscow. 20 century. People” and “Unknown treasures” from the old and new collection of the Moscow City Museum.
 
 These two exhibitions were based on rich collections of Moscow City Museum. Most of exhibits are on display for the first time. They have been collected for recent years.
 
“Moscow. 20 century. People” tells us about dramatic fates of some Muscovites.
 
One part of the exhibition “My family’s history and Moscow history” shows us about 100 photos of famous and ordinary people, their family archives and biographies.
 
The exhibition “Unknown treasures” invites us to make a trip in retro cars. The collection of retro cars is new and you can see such unique models such Ford Model T (early 20 century), Millot le Guerre ( 1901), Studebaker Garford ( 1908), a tricycle De la Croix ( 1898).
 
You can also get acquainted with unique archeological collections, plans, maps, painting, china, glass, furniture, cloths, rare books, numismatics and other rarities, revived by Museum’s restorers.
